RIP November 20

Whew!  Home stretch baby! Here's an interesting one- RIP John the Posthumous, Kind of France.  He succeeded his father Louis the Headstrong.  As you might have twigged, John was born after the death of his father.  Sadly, John's reign was not terribly successful, though it wasn't a failure either.  It wasn't much of anything, since he only "ruled" for 5 days, and died at the age of... 5 days. He was succeeded by Uncle Philip the Tall, who had been the regent anyway.  Bummer.

Somebody who lived a bit longer was Leo Nikolayevich Tolstoy.  Yup, it's that Tolstoy.  I suppose he left a will, which, being a Russian novelist, was probably about 859 pages long.

Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh, say goodbye to Camp Grenada.  And it's singer, Allan Sherman.  He died on this date in 1973, at a too young 48- just 10 days away from achieving a Daily Double.  He also kinda sorta created the show "I've got a secret".  Did you know he got his big break as a song parodist because of Harpo Marx and George Burns?  Neither did I!  Now we both know!  Isn't that exciting?

In news from 1975, Generalissimo Fransisco Franco is still dead!  If you get that one, you're pretty cool.  And pretty old.  If not, well your loss.

Rob Lytle also died on this date.  He played for Bo at the University of Michigan, so he gets mentioned.  And acknowledged to be cool.

And that's that.  See you next time!
